The bucket’s actual top-edge shape and structure must be checked before ordering; the Case name alone does not guarantee fit.

Case Hook Profile and Measurements

The supplied BFB2-CS graphic shows an 8 inch overall height and 8 3/8 inch overall width. Its throat opening is labeled 2 1/8 inches, with a 6 inch inner reach. The drawing also identifies a 5 1/4 inch straight section, a 1 1/4 inch beveled section, and a lower tab measuring 2 1/2 inches long by 1 inch high. These dimensions give a fabricator several points to compare with an existing hook or the bucket being fitted.

The 2 inch bucket fork designation describes the intended shaft system; the 2 1/8 inch throat is a separate measurement of the hook. Shaft size alone cannot establish compatibility. The hook must seat the shaft at the right position while clearing the bucket’s top edge and any reinforcement. In a properly matched bucket fork setup, the hooks are welded to the bucket, while the shaft and forks remain removable. An operator can engage the fork assembly for moving pallets, feed, lumber, fencing supplies, or other appropriate loads, then disengage it to return the bucket to ordinary work. The fork assemblies themselves do not weld to the bucket.
