Pallet Fork Extensions

PRO-Link pallet fork extensions add working length to compatible forks when an operator needs more support beneath long pallets, lumber, pipe, trusses, bundled supplies or other oversized materials. This category includes 72- and 96-inch extension options for 4-inch- and 5-inch-wide forks, along with a separate fork-mounted boom for suspended-load applications.

The extensions use an open-channel design that slides over the existing fork. A heel-retention system secures each extension behind the fork heel to help prevent it from sliding forward. Correct fit depends on more than the extension’s overall length. Buyers must verify the width, thickness and length of the existing forks as well as the required overlap shown on the individual product page.

The 72-inch models are made for compatible 4- or 5-inch-wide forks with a minimum base-fork length of 48 inches. The 96-inch models are available for those same fork-width choices but require base forks at least 72 inches long. A 4-inch extension should not be installed on a 5-inch fork, and choosing the correct width does not by itself confirm the complete fit.

Pallet fork extensions increase reach, but they do not increase the rated lifting capacity of the machine, fork frame or original forks. Extending a load farther forward changes the load center and may reduce how much the equipment can lift. Operators should check the lowest rating in the complete system and follow the machine and extension instructions before use. The load must also remain properly supported and controlled during lifting and travel.
