ITA Forks

PRO-Link replacement pallet forks are hook-style ITA Class 2 forks for compatible forklift carriages and properly matched material-handling frames. Current choices include 42-, 48-, 60- and 72-inch lengths with published pair ratings ranging from 2,000 to 6,000 pounds at a 24-inch load center. Blade thickness and width also vary by model. A longer or thicker fork is not automatically the correct choice; the fork must match the load, carriage and lifting equipment.

These forks use ITA Class 2A hooks and locking components to connect with a compatible carriage. The upper hook hangs from the top rail, while the lower hook engages the bottom carriage bar. The fork lock helps hold the selected side-to-side position. Class 2 forks should not be installed on a Class 3 carriage, and a machine brand or model name alone does not confirm compatibility.

Before ordering replacement pallet forks, inspect the existing fork markings and measure the blade length, width and thickness. Confirm the ITA class, hook spacing, hook dimensions, locking-pin arrangement and carriage width. Buyers should also determine whether the individual listing’s rating is stated per fork or per matched pair. The products in this category are listed and sold as matched pairs.

Fork length changes how far a load sits from the machine. Longer blades can help support long pallets or bulky material, but they may move the load center forward and reduce the equipment’s usable lifting capacity. The safe limit is determined by the lowest-rated part of the complete system, including the machine, carriage, forks, coupler and attachment.

Properly matched ITA forks may be used on forklifts and on fabricated fork frames for skid steers, tractors, loaders or telehandlers. These applications require the correct Class 2 carriage and a frame designed and rated for that machine. They can handle pallets of feed, seed, fertilizer, lumber, building materials, equipment and industrial supplies when the load is properly supported.
