Hayspears Bracketed Hay Spears

Hayspears® bracketed hay spears provide bolt-on mounting options for compatible hay frames built with 3-inch by 3-inch square tubing. This category includes 39- and 48-inch assemblies using 1-5/8-inch spears rated at 3,000 pounds at a 30-inch load center. Different models use either the 155BU or 165BU bracket, so buyers must follow the complete product specifications rather than choosing by spear length alone.

The 39SB and 48SB assemblies use the specified 165BU bracket. The 39SB1 and 48SB1 assemblies use the specified 155BU bracket. Both bracket styles attach to compatible frame tubing with two 58X3U U-bolt assemblies. The brackets and their spear-retention arrangements are product-specific and should not be treated as interchangeable.

These are straight bracket-mounted hay tines, not tapered or nut-fastened spears. The spear is positioned in its matching bracket and secured using the specified cross-bolt arrangement. The U-bolts wrap around the 3-inch by 3-inch frame tubing and clamp the bracket in position without welding the bracket permanently to the frame. This keeps the mounting parts accessible for inspection, tightening, repositioning or replacement.

The 39- and 48-inch lengths offer choices for properly sized round hay bales and square bales. Depending on the complete attachment, these bale spikes may also handle straw, wet hay, silage, haylage and cornstalk bales. Spear length affects penetration and control, but it does not determine the capacity of the finished frame or machine.

These bracketed bale forks may be installed on compatible tractor loader frames, skid steer hay attachments, front-end loader frames, three-point bale movers and custom agricultural equipment. They do not attach directly to every tractor or skid steer.

Before ordering, confirm the exact bracket model, spear length, cross-bolt, U-bolt quantity, frame-tubing dimensions, spear spacing and machine capacity. The published spear rating does not increase the rating of the completed attachment. PRO-Link products are covered by a one-year limited warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
