The 246CXJ curved replacement bale spear is a complete spear-and-sleeve assembly for repairing an existing hay-handling attachment or building a properly engineered multi-tine frame. This compact HAYSTIX® component measures 24 inches long by 1.375 inches in diameter and is rated at 1,800 pounds at a 30-inch load center. Its bent profile helps provide clearance and controlled bale placement in barns, around feeders, and in other tight working areas.

Unlike an “S” model sold as a bare replacement tine, the 246CXJ includes the compatible 110T weld-in sleeve/collar. The tapered spear uses a Doublenut® retention system, allowing the tine to be removed later without replacing the sleeve when the installed 110T remains serviceable and undamaged.

After the sleeve is correctly aligned and secured, the tapered shank seats inside it. Tightening the first nut draws the spear firmly into the collar, while the second nut locks against the first to help resist loosening during vibration and repeated use.

Depending on the properly rated attachment and coupler, the completed assembly may serve bale handlers used with:
