$225.00
Individual Class 2A block fork with a 2 inch x 2 inch blade profile, 48 inch length and 1,900 lb capacity per fork. Designed for compatible masonry-handling carriages, with custom negative-drop configurations available by advance arrangement.
Description
When a masonry bundle needs deeper support, the 2A 2-2-48 48 inch Class 2A block fork provides additional blade length while retaining the narrow profile used in multi-fork block-handling arrangements. This fork measures 2 inch thick by 2 inch wide with a 48 inch blade and carries a published rating of 1,900 lb per fork. It is sold individually, allowing buyers to select the number of forks required for their compatible carriage and application.
48 Inch Class 2A Block Fork for Masonry Loads
Block forks are intended for moving bundled brick, concrete block, cinder block and comparable masonry products. These loads are commonly supported by several narrow blades spaced across the carriage instead of the two wider forks often used for ordinary pallets. A block-fork setup may use four or six forks, depending on the machine, carriage, bundle dimensions and approved configuration.
The longer 48 inch blade can provide more support beneath a deep bundle than a shorter fork when the load and equipment call for that reach. Length must still be selected carefully. A fork should support the load properly without creating unnecessary projection beyond it or moving the load farther forward than the machine can safely manage. The load’s actual center of gravity, not blade length alone, affects usable lifting capacity.
This model has a 2 inch by 2 inch blade cross section and a Class 2A clip-style mounting configuration. Confirm that the top clip, bottom clip, fork lock and carriage geometry match before placing the order. Class designation is important, but it should be checked together with clip spacing, carriage width, available fork positions and the markings on the equipment. A forklift, loader or telehandler may perform masonry work without necessarily using the same carriage arrangement.
Individual Capacity and Custom Negative-Drop Options
The 2A 2-2-48 is rated at 1,900 lb per individual fork. That number does not describe a pair, a four-fork arrangement or a six-fork arrangement. Do not establish the capacity of the finished system by multiplying 1,900 lb by the quantity installed. Weight may not be shared equally across every blade, and the machine, carriage, spacing, attachment and load position can impose lower limits.
Selling block forks individually makes it possible to replace one compatible fork or order the exact quantity required for an approved masonry-handling setup. Block forks are the only PRO-Link forks sold individually. Before combining a new fork with existing forks, compare the model, length, cross section, mounting clips, condition and capacity markings. Forks working together should be suitable for the same carriage and load arrangement.
Custom negative-drop block forks are also available by advance arrangement. Negative drop measures how far the fork extends downward past the bottom clip. An N7 block fork, for example, reaches 7 inches below the bottom clip. This is useful when a specialized carriage requires the blade to sit lower than a standard configuration.
A negative-drop fork is a custom-priced product and must be set up with PRO-Link before ordering. The buyer should be prepared to provide the requested drop, carriage and clip measurements, machine information, fork quantity and load details. Custom dimensions and pricing must be confirmed before the order is finalized.
PRO-Link products are protected by a one-year limited warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
Questions & Answers
What does the 48 inch measurement describe?
It describes the blade length measured from the inside face of the fork shank to the tip. Buyers should also verify the 2 inch by 2 inch cross section and Class 2A mounting configuration.
How many 2A 2-2-48 block forks should I order?
Block-fork systems commonly use four or six forks, but there is no universal quantity. The correct number depends on the approved carriage configuration, fork spacing, masonry bundle and lifting equipment.
Can the 2A 2-2-48 be ordered with a negative drop?
Yes. Negative-drop versions require advance consultation and special pricing. Specify the required drop clearly; for example, N7 means the fork extends 7 inches below the bottom clip.
