3A 2-2-48 48 Inch Class 3 Block Fork – 1,900 lb
$250.00
Description
The 3A 2-2-48 48 inch Class 3 block fork is designed for masonry-handling systems that need a narrow blade, longer load coverage and Class 3 carriage mounting. The blade measures 2 inch thick by 2 inch wide by 48 inch long and is rated at 1,900 lb per individual fork. Like every PRO-Link block fork, this model is sold individually rather than as a pair.
48 Inch Class 3 Block Fork Support for Masonry Bundles
Block forks, also known as brick forks, are used beneath bundled brick, concrete block, cinder block and related masonry products. Their narrow blades allow several forks to be spaced across a carriage, providing multiple support points under a bundled load. Four-fork and six-fork arrangements are common, but the correct quantity depends on the carriage design, bundle size, fork spacing, machine and approved system capacity.
With a 48 inch blade, the 3A 2-2-48 provides 6 inches of additional reach compared with the 42 inch version. That extra length can be useful when the load requires deeper support, but longer is not automatically better. The blade should reach far enough beneath the bundle without creating unnecessary projection or placing the load’s center of gravity farther forward than the equipment can safely handle.
The 2 inch by 2 inch cross section is narrow enough for a multi-fork configuration while providing the published 1,900 lb individual rating. Buyers should confirm that the blade can enter beneath the packaged masonry and that the full group can be positioned to support the load correctly. Unevenly placed blades or an off-center bundle can prevent the weight from being shared evenly.
Class 3 Mounting, Per-Fork Capacity and Custom Drops
This model uses Class 3 mounting clips. Class 3 carriages have a nominal 20 inch height, but that measurement does not confirm compatibility by itself. Check the upper and lower clip shapes, engagement spacing, carriage rail profiles, fork-lock arrangement, carriage width and available side-to-side positioning. The 3A model is not interchangeable with the 2A 2-2-48, which uses Class 2 mounting despite having the same blade dimensions and published per-fork rating.
The 1,900 lb rating applies to one fork only. It must not be treated as the capacity of a pair, and it should not simply be multiplied by four or six to rate a completed masonry carriage. Final capacity depends on how the load is distributed and on the machine, carriage, attachment, fork spacing, load center and lowest-rated component.
Individual sale allows a buyer to order the approved number of forks or replace a matching fork in an existing Class 3 setup. Before replacing only one fork, compare the part number, blade dimensions, mounting clips, capacity markings and condition of every fork that will support the load.
PRO-Link also offers custom block forks with negative drop. Negative drop is measured from the bottom clip downward toward the ground. An N7 specification means the fork extends 7 inches below the bottom clip. Custom negative-drop forks require advance planning and special pricing; they are not ordered as a standard configuration without prior contact.
Before requesting a custom fork, gather the desired negative drop, complete carriage and clip measurements, equipment information, fork quantity and load details. PRO-Link must review those requirements and establish custom pricing before the order is finalized.
This product is covered by PRO-Link’s one-year limited warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
Questions & Answers
When should I choose the 48 inch model instead of the 42 inch model?
Choose the blade length that properly supports the masonry bundle without unnecessary forward extension. The 48 inch model provides 6 inches of additional blade reach, but equipment capacity and load-center effects must still be considered.
Will this fork fit a Class 2 carriage?
No. The 3A 2-2-48 is configured for a compatible Class 3 carriage. Use the 2A version when a verified Class 2 mounting arrangement is required.
Can I order the 3A 2-2-48 with an N7 negative drop?
Yes, as a specially priced custom order arranged in advance. N7 means the blade extends 7 inches below the bottom clip. Contact PRO-Link with the required measurements before ordering.
