39TS Tapered Hay Spear

The 39TS tapered hay spear is a 39-inch bale tine engineered for dependable, real-world hay handling performance across a wide range of agricultural applications. Measuring 39 inches in length with a 1.625-inch diameter, this tapered spear delivers smooth penetration, controlled handling, and consistent strength when lifting and transporting both round and square bales.

This model is supplied as a complete tapered spear assembly and includes a conical nut and a 114T weld-in sleeve/collar. The tapered profile promotes efficient entry into dense hay while allowing cleaner release during unloading, helping reduce bale disturbance and improve overall handling efficiency.

Fluted Tapered Design and Weld-In Sleeve Installation

All PRO-Link Hayspears® feature a dual-side fluted design that improves penetration and allows for easier removal from hay bales compared to non-fluted spear designs. The spear is bi-directional and should be installed with the fluted sides positioned parallel to the ground for optimal performance and reduced drag.

The included 114T sleeve/collar is designed to be welded directly into a hay-moving implement. For proper installation and safety, the spear must never be installed in the sleeve during welding. Once the sleeve is welded into place, the spear is inserted and secured using the conical nut, creating a tight, stable mounting point ready for operation.

Rated at 3,000 lb. at a 30-inch load center, the 39TS tapered hay spear is built to reflect typical bale center-of-gravity conditions. Proven across both round and square bale applications, it remains a trusted, long-standing solution for reliable bale handling.
