72 Inch Wide Frame with Seven Tapered Bale Spears

The reinforced frame measures 72 inches wide by 64 inches high. Its tall structure supports a large square bale’s face and helps limit rearward movement when the load is correctly engaged and tilted. The wide profile also lets the seven spears contact the bale at several locations instead of concentrating support around one or two points.

The U7264-436 includes seven SM43TXJ 43 inch replacement hay spears. Each HAYSTIX® tine has a 43 inch length, 1.75 inch square profile and Conus II tapered mounting end. The individual spear carries a published rating of 3,500 lb at a 30 inch load center, but those ratings must not be added together to calculate attachment capacity. The complete frame remains rated at 6,000 lb, and the lowest-rated component in the system always controls.

Each tapered shank seats in a matching collar. A conical nut draws the spear into the sleeve, and the second nut locks against it as part of the Doublenut® system. An individual worn spear can therefore be serviced without automatically replacing the frame. Inspect all seven tines, mounting nuts, sleeves and frame welds so wear affecting multiple positions is not overlooked.

Universal Quick Attach Fit and High-Volume Hay Work

The standard U7264-436 uses a universal skid steer quick-attach interface. “Universal” identifies the mounting standard; it does not guarantee fit with every skid steer, compact loader or tractor loader. Confirm the carrier plate dimensions, locking-pin engagement, operating clearance, attachment weight, rated lift capacity and manufacturer restrictions.

Alternate coupler configurations are available by request. Because a different connection can affect geometry, clearance and load position, the required coupler must be identified and approved before the frame is built.

Engage the load evenly with all applicable spears, keep it centered and carry it low. Avoid sudden stops, sharp turns, side slopes and shock loading. No person should stand under or directly in front of a raised bale. Inspect the quick-attach locks, frame, spears, collars, nuts and welds before operation.
