The PRO-Link 2AB47 Bottom Fork Rail is a 47 inch Class 2 lower carriage bar for fabricating or repairing a properly engineered pallet fork frame. This weld-in component provides the engagement surface for the lower hooks on compatible ITA Class 2 forks. It can be incorporated into skid steer and tractor-loader fork frames, replacement carriages, and custom material-handling attachments when the finished design uses the correct rail spacing, fork geometry, structure, and machine connection.

The 2AB47 is one carriage component, not a complete pallet fork attachment or universal replacement rail. Width alone does not determine suitability. Before fabrication, compare the product drawing with the actual forks and establish the required upper-to-lower rail position. The completed structure must keep both rails parallel and aligned so the forks can move across the carriage without binding or excessive looseness.

Welding the Rail into a Complete Class 2 Frame

Pair the lower bar with the 2AT47 Class 2 top rail when building the corresponding 47 inch rail set. The top rail supplies the upper-hook support and fork-lock positions; the 2AB47 supplies lower-hook engagement. Together they provide the mounting surfaces, but they do not by themselves establish the strength or capacity of the finished attachment.

Weld design, steel selection, frame reinforcement, alignment, and heat control should be determined by a qualified fabricator or engineer for the intended machine and load. A repair also requires evaluation of the surrounding structure. Welding a new rail onto a bent, cracked, or improperly aligned frame does not automatically restore a safe carriage. After fabrication, confirm hook engagement, fork-lock operation, clearances, weld condition, and the capacity marking for the completed system.
