Fork Carriage Bars

PRO-Link fork carriage bars are weld-in components for fabricating or repairing pallet fork frames, forklift carriages and other properly engineered material-handling attachments. The category includes matching top and bottom rails for ITA Class 2 and ITA Class 3 hook-type forks.

A hook-type pallet fork connects to two different rails. The fork’s upper hook hangs from the top carriage bar, while its lower hook engages the bottom bar. Both rails must match the fork class, length, hook geometry and required spacing. A top rail by itself or a bottom bar by itself is not a complete carriage, fork frame or ready-to-use attachment.

The Class 2 choices include 47-inch and 60-inch rail systems. The 2AT47 top rail pairs with the 2AB47 bottom rail. For a wider Class 2 build, the 2AT60 upper bar pairs with the 2AB60 lower bar. These components include features intended for proper fork engagement, such as locking notches and the required rail profile.

The Class 3 choices are available in 47-inch and 72-inch lengths. The 3AT47 top bar pairs with the 3AB47 lower bar, while the 3AT72 upper rail pairs with the 3AB72 lower rail. PRO-Link specifies a 20-1/8-inch vertical rail setup for these Class 3 components, but the fabricator must confirm the exact measurement points and fork-hook fit before welding.

Class 2 and Class 3 rails are not interchangeable. Rail length alone also does not confirm compatibility. Before ordering, verify the ITA class, whether a top or bottom rail is needed, the planned frame width, rail spacing, fork locks, hook dimensions, mounting structure and welding requirements.

These carriage rails may be used in properly designed forklift repairs, telehandler carriages, skid steer pallet fork frames, tractor-loader fork attachments and custom fabrication projects. Those machine names describe possible uses, not guaranteed direct fit. A qualified fabricator should keep the rails straight, parallel and correctly spaced throughout installation.

The completed system’s capacity depends on the machine, forks, frame, rails, welds, coupler, load center and other components. A single carriage bar does not establish the finished attachment’s rating. PRO-Link products are covered by a one-year limited warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
