Description
The 2A 2-2-42 42 inch Class 2A block fork is built for handling bundled brick, concrete block, cinder block and similar masonry products on a properly matched carriage. It has a 2 inch by 2 inch blade cross section, a 42 inch blade length and a rated capacity of 1,900 lb per fork. Unlike PRO-Link’s standard pallet forks, which are sold as pairs, this block fork is sold individually so the buyer can order the quantity required for the intended carriage and load.
42 Inch Class 2A Block Fork for Masonry Handling
Block forks, sometimes called brick forks, are designed differently from ordinary pallet forks. Their narrow blade profile allows multiple forks to be positioned across a compatible carriage, creating several support points beneath a strapped or bundled masonry load. Block-fork arrangements commonly use four or six forks, but the correct quantity depends on the bundle, carriage width, fork spacing, machine and approved capacity of the complete setup.
The 2 inch wide blade is made for applications where closely spaced support is needed. The 42 inch length provides reach beneath compatible masonry bundles without automatically committing the operator to a longer blade that may project farther beyond the load. Because block shapes, packaging and support requirements vary, buyers should confirm that the blade dimensions and fork quantity suit the material being handled.
This model uses a Class 2A mounting configuration. Before ordering, compare the existing carriage and forks, including the carriage class, top and bottom clip engagement, fork-lock arrangement, available carriage width and required side-to-side spacing. A machine brand by itself does not confirm fit. Forklifts, loaders, telehandlers and specialty masonry-handling machines may use different carriages even when they perform similar work.
Capacity, Individual Ordering and Custom Negative Drop
The published 1,900 lb rating applies to one 2A 2-2-42 block fork, not a pair or complete group. Do not determine finished attachment capacity by simply multiplying 1,900 lb by four or six. Masonry loads may not distribute weight equally across every blade, and the safe working capacity is limited by the machine, carriage, attachment, fork spacing, load position and lowest-rated component in the system.
PRO-Link can also arrange custom block forks with a negative drop. Negative drop describes how far the fork extends toward the ground below the bottom clip. For example, an N7 configuration drops 7 inches below the bottom clip. This feature can help match a specialized carriage or place the blade at the required height for a particular application.
Negative-drop block forks must be discussed with PRO-Link before the order is placed. They are custom products with application-specific requirements and special pricing. Buyers should provide the needed drop, carriage information, clip measurements, fork quantity, load details and machine information so the request can be reviewed before production or pricing is confirmed.
The standard 2A 2-2-42 is a practical choice for replacing a compatible block fork or building an approved multi-fork masonry-handling arrangement. PRO-Link products are covered by a one-year limited warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
Questions & Answers
Is the 2A 2-2-42 sold individually or as a set?
It is sold individually. Block forks are the only PRO-Link forks sold this way. Order quantity should be based on the approved carriage configuration and the masonry load being handled.
What does the 1,900 lb capacity mean?
The 1,900 lb rating is for one fork. It is not a pair rating and should not be multiplied to establish the capacity of a four-fork or six-fork assembly without evaluating the complete system.
What does N7 negative drop mean?
N7 means the custom block fork extends 7 inches below the bottom clip. Contact PRO-Link before ordering any negative-drop configuration because dimensions, compatibility and special pricing must be established in advance.
