Keyed 110T Sleeve and Single-Nut Mounting

The keyed collar is the critical mounting distinction on the 276CXJ. Its key helps prevent the curved tine from rotating in the sleeve so the point remains aligned with the attachment’s intended working direction. This product uses one retaining nut; it should not be described as a Doublenut® assembly merely because other tapered HAYSTIX® models use that system.

Before welding, remove the tine, key, nut, and other mounting components from the collar. A qualified fabricator should establish the sleeve’s position, key direction, projection, surrounding steel, tine spacing, operating clearance, weld preparation, and finished frame strength. The empty sleeve is then welded into a properly supported location in the frame.

After the collar and surrounding steel have cooled, inspect the welds and sleeve opening. The tapered shank should seat fully inside the matching mount without dirt, corrosion, burrs, or weld spatter interfering with the connection. Tightening the single nut draws the tapered surfaces together, while the key maintains the required curve orientation. Check the key, keyway, threads, nut engagement, seating, and clearance before operation.
