Bale Engagement and Frame Applications

The 43 inch length reaches into a bale while leaving less projection than a longer spear. That may suit a feeding operation, a storage area with limited turning room, or an attachment designed around this specific tine length. The tapered blade helps enter hay and release it when the operator sets a bale down. Its square HAYSTIX® profile also distinguishes it from the typically fluted Hayspears® models.

A 43TXJ can serve a compatible tractor loader hay frame, skid steer bale attachment, three point bale mover, or a purpose built multi-spear frame. Install the 144T Conus II Mount

The included 144T sleeve is welded into suitable frame steel. A qualified fabricator should determine the sleeve’s position, reinforcement, clearance, and welding procedure. Remove the spear and nuts before welding the empty sleeve. After it cools, inspect the tapered seat and threads for damage or weld spatter.

The spear’s tapered shank seats inside the sleeve. Tightening the conical nut draws the mating surfaces together, and the second jam nut locks against it to help resist vibration-related loosening.
