A qualified fabricator should determine the collar’s direction, projection, alignment, surrounding steel, weld preparation, tine spacing, curve orientation, operating clearance, and finished frame strength.

After the sleeve and frame have cooled, inspect the welds and remove debris or weld spatter that could interfere with seating. The tapered shank then fits inside the Conus I collar. Tightening the conical nut draws the mating surfaces together, while the secondary jam nut locks against it to help resist vibration-related loosening. The square shank lets the installer turn the curved spear to the direction required by the attachment before final tightening. The completed frame may be carried by a compatible tractor loader, skid steer, telehandler, three-point mover, or other agricultural machine. These equipment categories do not guarantee fit.
