Start the M30 by hand to confirm smooth thread engagement. Tighten it according to the instructions for the applicable spear and attachment system; no universal torque value should be assumed for every installation. When the nut is part of a Doublenut® setup, install the correct jam nut in the proper sequence. Recheck the connection after initial use and include it in regular attachment inspections.
