Hayspears Hay Spear Hardware

Hayspears® hay spear hardware includes the mounting and retention parts used with compatible 1-5/8-inch bale spears, hay frames and custom agricultural attachments. This category contains tapered sleeves, cross-bolt collars, U-bolt brackets, bushings, retaining nuts, stabilizers and selected fabrication supplies. Some components may also serve other PRO-Link product groups when the individual specifications match.

Tapered Hayspears® models use a matching tapered sleeve and retaining nut. The 114T is the specified 1-5/8-inch tapered collar for applicable complete assemblies. As the nut is tightened, the spear’s tapered shank is drawn securely into the sleeve. The threads, taper, nut and complete mounting dimensions must match; inside diameter alone does not prove compatibility.

Straight cross-bolt models use a different connection. The 155 weld-in collar accepts specified 1-5/8-inch cross-hole spears. The holes in the sleeve and spear are aligned, and the proper bolt passes through both pieces to retain the hay tine. A tapered spear should not be installed in the 155 collar, and a straight cross-bolt spear should not be substituted into the 114T.

The 155BU and 165BU brackets provide bolt-on mounting options for specified bracketed Hayspears® models. Each applicable bracket uses two 58X3U U-bolt assemblies to clamp onto compatible 3-inch by 3-inch square tubing. The spear is retained according to the bracket’s specified cross-bolt arrangement. Bracket number, spear diameter, tubing size and mounting hardware must all match.

The 112 bushing, M30 retaining nut, STAB1 bale stabilizer and fabrication supplies serve separate installation or repair needs. Buyers should review each product page to determine its exact purpose, dimensions and compatible models.

Weld-in sleeves must be installed in suitable supporting steel with the spear and fastening parts removed. A qualified fabricator should confirm sleeve alignment, surrounding frame strength and the required welding procedure. After assembly, inspect the sleeve, bracket, bolts, U-bolts, nuts and frame regularly. PRO-Link products are covered by a one-year limited warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
