The S48T fluted hay tine is a 48-inch tapered hay spear designed for reliable bale handling and easy replacement in tapered spear applications. Featuring a 1.625-inch diameter, this spear-only option is ideal for operators who already have a tapered sleeve installed and need a dependable replacement without purchasing a full assembly.

All PRO-Link Hayspears® feature a dual-side fluted design that improves penetration into wet, frozen, or tightly packed hay bales while allowing for cleaner, easier removal during unloading. The tapered profile reduces resistance during entry and exit while maintaining strength under load, making it well suited for everyday agricultural use.

Fluted Design, Installation, and Performance

The S48T is bi-directional and should be installed with the fluted sides positioned parallel to the ground for optimal performance and clean bale release. Rated at 3,000 lbs at a 30-inch load center, it reflects real-world bale handling conditions rather than theoretical ratings. This fluted hay tine is compatible with 114T tapered sleeves (sold separately) and serves as an ideal replacement spear for a wide range of hay handling equipment.
