The 48TS Tapered Bale Spear is a heavy-duty hay spear assembly designed for dependable, real-world bale handling performance. This assembly includes the S48T 48-inch tapered hay spear, the 114T weld-in sleeve, and a conical nut, providing a complete tapered spear solution for agricultural equipment.

Rated at 3,000 lb capacity at a 30-inch load center, the 48TS is engineered to reflect the typical center of gravity of round bales, delivering a more accurate and practical working rating. The tapered spear features a fluted design to improve penetration and allow for easier removal from hay bales. The spear is bi-directional and should be installed with the fluted sides positioned parallel to the ground for optimal performance.

The included 114T sleeve is designed to be welded into the hay attachment frame separately. The bale spear must never be installed in the sleeve during welding. Once welding is complete, the spear is inserted and secured with the conical nut to create a tight, stable connection.
