Fluted Spear for Round and Square Bale Handling

The S48T uses a fluted shaft designed to enter dense forage with less resistance and release cleanly when the bale is set down. This supports efficient loading, stacking, feeding, and storage work. Install the spear with the fluted sides parallel to the ground.

Heat-treated high-strength steel helps the spear withstand repeated agricultural lifting cycles when it is properly installed and used within its rating.

The 48 inch length works well for large round bales and suitable square bales. This 48TS assembly uses its specified single-nut arrangement; it is not a Doublenut® system.

Installation should be completed by a qualified fabricator. Remove the spear and nut before welding, hold the empty collar at the correct angle, and use a procedure appropriate for the frame material and design. Let the collar cool, then inspect the taper, threads, welds, and frame before installing the spear. Do not guess at an unverified torque value.
